Description

Rare Vintage Mahogany and Leather Playing Cards Holder Monogramed MKH The top of the box has leather with a very faded scene that appears to possibly be around the early to mid 1800's. A stately woman is being assisted by her footman or gentleman as she steps out of her 4 horse with coachman carriage. In the background is what looks like a two-story Victorian home. Inside are 2 decks of Barton playing cards that fold out when opened. One deck is key lime green and the other a peach color. These decks are also monogramed with MKH and are in excellent condition. The mahogany is beautiful on this box and it also has a strip of leather on the back. It is in overall very good vintage condition, most likely from the 1950-60's. The box has a few tiny nicks and a larger scuff on the back side leather strip and the leather piece on the top had some dry edge wear in spots. There is a leather insert with MKH inside the box that looks and feels like it has been well maintained with leather oil. Please view all detailed photos for your own determination of condition and if you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Measures 4.5"x5.5"x2". There is a foil sticker on the bottom with, "Made of Genuine Mahogany".
